Our Cuba book is at the printer and heading your way soon
“Cuba: Seven in 10,” the book by the photographers who went on our June trip to Havana, will be out within the next couple of weeks. I’ve seen the proof and it’s something that I’m extremely proud to have contributed to.
While we won’t be undertaking another Kickstarter project like this in the foreseeable future, the experience has inspired me to add a collaborative component to future trips, such as having participants work together to produce an e-book. I think having a goal like that helps you focus on how to approach your photography during the trip. I know, for me, the expectation that we we needed at least 10 great images for the book helped ramp up the pressure — but in a good, creative way.
Special thanks to Geoff Livingston who spearheaded our successful Kickstarter and who edited the book. Also congrats to Charles Butler, owner of Union 206 photography studio in Alexandria, for landing the cover shot, pictured above.
You can order the book on Blurb.
